Catches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) are no different, as we have seen numerous acrobatic and mind-boggling catches too, including the Top 5 Epic Catches in IPL History.

Some of these catches are considered some of the all-time greatest catches because such a catch represents athleticism, skill, and the best judgment for any fielder. Since the inception of IPL, we have seen amazing catches that leave our heads spinning.

1. AB De Villiers in 2018

We begin with the # 1 all-time best catch in IPL involving a former South African legendary batter, where he made a superhuman effort at the mid-wicket boundary line to dismiss Alex Hales of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) during this year’s India Premier League. He ran in, plucked out one hand, and performed an absolute blinder to mid-wicket. This catch was quite extraordinary and was very difficult for him to swallow. The captain of the RCB franchise, Virat Kohli, was amazed and ran to congratulate his teammate.

2. Chris Lynn in 2014

There is something about the Australians and how they manage to achieve some wonderful catches. One spectacular catch in IPL 2014 was made by Chris Lynn at the boundary rope. During the IPL cricket tournament where Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) played against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Lynn leaped to take a catch in mid-air while staying perfectly balanced so that he did not mistakenly hit the boundary rope. His arched back nearly led to his falling off balance, but he managed well and made an excellent catch.

3. Suresh Raina in 2016

Suresh Raina, one of the most brilliant fielders India cricket has ever produced, also featured in IPL 2016 for a remarkable slip catch. Raina jumped into the air to send Surya Kumar Yadav of KKR a one-handed blinder. Moreover, the left-hander caught with his right hand, which is not a batting hand.

4. Kieron Pollard in 2014

Kieron Pollard, the former star all-rounder for the Mumbai Indians, ‘is an amazingly fit fielder. 2014, at the time of playing against the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Pollard made an incredible catch off long-on. 5. Evin Lewis in 2022

To start with, Evin Lewis of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) made a remarkable one-handed catch while running to the ball and managed to dismiss dangerous-looking Rinku Singh. As a result, this catch won the “best catch award of the IPL 2022 season” and is indicative of Lewis’s incredible feat.
