WPL 2024 Schedule: Second edition of T20 cricket league starts February 23, final on March 17 – full schedule, teams, format

The second edition of the Women’s Premier League is scheduled for February 23rd to March 17th. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Tuesday that the women’s T20 cricket tournament will be held in Bengaluru and Delhi.

WPL 2024 begins with defending champions the Mumbai Indians taking on last year’s finalists, the Delhi Capitals, in Bangalore.

Just like last year, five teams will compete in the WPL 2024. Apart from the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, the Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriors will also be participating.

All matches until March 4 will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The remaining matches of the tournament will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

A total of 22 games will be played, including the elimination game and the final match. The team at the top of the points table will qualify directly for the finals. Opponents are determined by an elimination game between the second and third-place teams in the standings.

Only one WPL match is scheduled per day until the end of the league phase, so there are no doubleheaders. All matches begin at 7:30 PM IST.
